hi there, my name is julian. the river is my home and im proud to be a river dweller, along with the other creatures, plants, and humans around here. i occupy this land with my companion, he is a little black cat named lain. i've lived in this intersected by two rivers for most of my life, except that i was born in a large coastal city on a differnet continent and moved here when i was young with my parents, and except for the time i lived by the great lakes during grad school. i work as a data engineer at a cardivascular research institute, and in the fall i will begin taking undergraduate philosophy classes at the local university. when im not engineering The Data, i like to read, draw, watch reality tv, go climbing, or hang out with my cherished friends. this website is where i will digitally materialize the things i want to, such as what i'm reading/playing/watching, pictures of lain and the river valley, my drawings and writing, stuff like that. so that when i die some piece of me may live on, at least digitally and so long as the infrastructure exists. welcome and please enjoy your stay.
